We assign this term to our cupcakes at Truly Madly Sweetly Bake Shop, and we take it quite seriously. Ask yourself, "when is the last time I had a cupcake that was truly gourmet?" How many bakeries go to the trouble of baking cupcakes and frosting them, using recipes that have been thoughtfully developed? Are they beautiful to look at and even more delicious then you imagined? Does your neighborhood bakery use fine belgian chocolate, fresh cream and butter in your baked goods?
When you splurge on a "small, often quite rich course", such as a really fine dessert, make sure you are getting the best. Don't settle for anything less than a Truly Madly Sweetly gourmet cupcake!
